Announcement

On May 23-25, 2025, the 6th International Symposium on Fuzzy Sets will take place in Katowice. This edition of the conference is organized by the Polish Society for Fuzzy Sets (POLFUZZ), in collaboration with the Faculty of Science and Technology of the University of Silesia in Katowice. The Polish Mathematical Society (PTM) and European Society for Fuzzy Logic and Technology (EUSFLAT) are co-organizers.


The sessions will be held on May 23-24 at the spinPLACE, the Centre for Creativity and Coworking at the university, located at Bankowa Street 5 in Katowice. On the morning of May 25, a trip to the Castle Museum in Pszczyna is planned.

Aims and Scope

The conference provides as an excellent international forum for exchanging knowledge and presenting results in the theory, methodology, and applications of fuzzy sets and systems. Its primary objectives include creating a platform for discussions on key research areas and disciplines, as well as highlighting the need to enhance collaboration within the scientific community and with business partners.


Research presentations are invited in the following areas:


  • Theoretical foundations of fuzzy logic and fuzzy set theory;
  • Imprecise information modeling with fuzzy, rough, and other methods;
  • Federated learning;
  • Image processing and computer vision;
  • Information retrieval;
  • Knowledge representation and engineering;
  • Decision-making models;
  • Expert systems;
  • Intelligent data analysis and data mining;
  • Approximate reasoning.


Potential areas of application, among others, may include:


  • Medical and Healthcare systems;
  • Business Process Modeling;
  • Social and economic models.

Authors submitting their abstracts after March 9 will be notified of acceptance by March 23, 2025. If you wish to present your research at the conference, please complete and submit the form available on this page. Additionally, the early/author registration deadline has been extended to April 1, 2025.
