Privacy Policy

In accordance with Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation - GDPR), the Polish Society for Fuzzy Sets (POLFUZZ) informs you that:


§1 Personal Data


1. Controller of your personal data is the the Polish Society for Fuzzy Sets (POLFUZZ), with its registered office at Pigonia Street 1, 35-310 Rzeszów, Poland.


2. You may contact the Controller regarding all matters related to the processing of your personal data and exercising your rights related to data processing via traditional mail, by sending a letter to the address: Pigonia Street 1, 35-310 Rzeszów, Poland, or via electronic mail, by sending an email to: isfs2025@us.edu.pl.


3. The Controller will process your personal data in the following scope: name, surname, academic title, email address, affiliation.


4. Your personal data will be processed by the Controller for the purpose of registration and implementation of all processes and tasks related to your participation in the 6th Symposium on Fuzzy Sets (Conference); the basis for processing your personal data is Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR.


5. POLFUZZ does not intend to transfer your personal data outside the European Economic Area.


6. You have the right to access your personal data, rectify it, request deletion, restrict processing, and object to the processing of personal data. As the legal basis for processing is not consent, you do not have the right to data portability.


7. Your personal data will not be shared with other entities (controllers), except for those authorized under legal provisions.


8. Entities (processors) that POLFUZZ commissions to perform activities that may involve the processing of personal data, such as hosting providers or accounting firms, may have access to your personal data.


9. POLFUZZ does not engage in automated decision-making, including profiling, concerning you.


10. Providing your personal data is voluntary, but its absence will prevent your participation in the Conference.


11. Your personal data will be processed for the period necessary to complete reports related to the Conference’s implementation by POLFUZZ and for the period required to secure any claims.


§2 Cookies


1. The Conference website https://isfspolfuzz.us.edu.pl (hereinafter referred to as the Website) uses cookies, like most websites. These files:

      • are saved on your device’s memory (computer, phone, etc.),
      • allow you to use all functionalities of the Website,
      • do not change the settings of your device.


2. Using the appropriate browser settings, you can at any time:

      •  delete cookies,
      • block future use of cookies.


3. The Website uses cookies for the purpose of:

      • remembering information about your session,
      • statistical analysis,
      • providing key functionalities of the Website.


4. To learn how to manage cookies, including how to disable them in your browser, you can refer to your browser’s help file. Not disabling cookies in the browser settings constitutes your consent to their use.


§3 Other Technologies


1. The Controller reserves the right to collect IP addresses of visitors to the Administrator’s website, which can be helpful for diagnosing technical issues with the server, conducting statistical analyses (e.g., determining from which regions we receive the most visits). Additionally, they can be useful for administering and improving the Administrator’s website.


2. The Controller informs you that the following tracking technology is used on its website: Google Analytics tracking code – for statistical analysis of the Website; the collected information does not allow for user identification.


§4 Server Logs


1. Using the website involves sending queries to the server where the site is hosted.


2. Each query to the server is recorded in server logs. Logs include, among other things, your IP address, server date and time, information about your web browser, and the operating system you use.


3. Logs are stored and archived on the server. Data recorded in server logs is not associated with specific persons using the website and is not used by the Controller for identifying any individual.


4. Server logs serve as auxiliary material used for administering the website, and their content is not disclosed to anyone other than those authorized to administer the server.


§5 Final Provisions


In matters not covered by these regulations, the provisions of the Civil Code and relevant Polish laws shall apply, as well as European Union law, particularly the GDPR (Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, repealing Directive 95/46/EC).
